My name is Amy Stapleton and I am a licensed clinical social worker in the State of Tennessee. I am also credentialed as a Professional Social Worker Telehealth Provider (#417) by the South Carolina Board of Social Work Examiners. https://llr.sc.gov/TeleHealth/SocialWork.html I earned my Bachelor of Arts from Belmont University and Master’s in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. My 22 years of experience began with work in geriatric psychiatry then working with individuals living with mood disorders. The last 16 years I have been working with individuals of all ages living with terminal illness, helping the individual and loved ones bolster coping and make the most of each day they are given. I have spent over 10 years facilitating support groups for those whose lives have been touched by cancer. Grief and loss counseling, coping with life transitions, anxiety and depression and navigating challenging relationships are just a few of the areas we can work on together. My approach is client-centered and strengths-based, incorporating aspects of Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Your journey awaits!
