Mary Pipher said "psychotherapy is a way of exploring pain and confusion to produce meaning and hope". All of us experience suffering, confusion, and pain. Therapy is a safe space to closely examine your story, to begin to heal your pain, and to find purpose and meaning from it all. I work with adolescents and adults struggling with issues such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, substance use disorders, and religious trauma. I am especially passionate about working with women who are seeking healing from trauma and striving to discover their own voice. My therapeutic approach is integrative, individualized, and somatic. I understand the importance of the mind-body connection when working with mental health concerns and use somatic practices in session with clients to further healing. I feel honored to hold space for clients. The alliance between a therapist and client is the single most important factor for healing, and I seek to foster a therapeutic environment that embodies curiosity, empathy, and respect.
