Amy Greenough

Licensed Professional Counselor and Art Therapist Find It In Your Art, LLC
Specialties: Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Adjustment Disorder, Gender Identity,
Insurance: Anthem, Cigna, Carefirst

Introduction

Amy (She/Her) works with children, adolescents, and adults to manage a variety of concerns. Amy uses a person-centered, integrative method of psychotherapy to promote success with developing personal goals. Areas of focus might include: management of behaviors and feelings, stress reduction, improvement of self-esteem, developing personal awareness (or mindfulness), strengthening personal resilience, or promoting recovery. In addition to traditional counseling methods, Amy has specialized training in guiding individuals and groups in the therapeutic use of the art making process. Art therapy was founded on the belief that engagement in the creative process is inherent to us all, that it is preverbal, and in itself healing. No formal training in art is expected for one to benefit from this method of counseling. For more information about the art therapy field please visit the American Art Therapy Association’s website at www.arttherapy.org.
