Introduction

Hello! I'm Amy Glover and I'm so glad you're here. Whether you are seeking care for yourself or a loved one, my hope for you is that you find connection to a therapist who will work with you and for you. Training / Experience: I have experience in working with individuals and a myriad of life issues, including trauma, grief, depression, and anxiety. I received my training through the Bachelor of Arts and Science in Psychology program at Dallas Baptist University and the Master of Science Licensed Professional Counseling Program at Mid America Christian University. Additionally, I was able to develop clinical skills during my internship tenure at The Children's Advocacy Center of Denton County, Ranch Hand Rescue, and private practice, where I worked with teens and young adults impacted by trauma. In May 2023, I completed basic training in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) through the EMDRIA network, a professional association for EMDR practitioners and researchers to seek the highest standards for the clinical use of EMDR. My most valuable training comes from an unearned relationship with Jesus which led to participation in various theological classes and programs with the American Association of Christian Counselors, of which I am a member, as well as The Village Institute, a year-long seminary-style program that seeks to equip believers in three areas of discipleship - Christian story, Christian belief and Christian formation. Teens and parents I hope you hear this: you don't need to have everything figured out or be perfect. You simply need to be aware of our own stuff and how that stuff is showing up in relationships with others. Wherever you are in your journey, you are never far from someone who wants to walk with you. "Too often we forget that discipline really means to teach, not to punish. A disciple is a student, not a recipient of behavioral consequences." -Dr. Dan Siegel "Train up a child in the way he should go – but be sure you go that way yourself." -Charles Spurgeon *Amy Glover, MS, LPC is a member in good standing with the American Association of Christian Counselors* **Scheduling** Current clients may log into the client portal for rescheduling.
