Introduction

Hello! My name is Amy and I'm so glad you're here. Curiosity is an authentic and beautiful first step toward hope and healing and I'm extremely honored to be considered as a fellow sojourner. As you move forward in your journey, my personal hope for you is connection to a QUALIFIED and CARING therapist who will walk alongside you to encourage, challenge, and celebrate you in every step. So take a deep breath and know you are deeply valued. Education, Training, Experience, Specialties, and Worldview My educational background includes completion of the BAS in Psychology program at Dallas Baptist University and the MS Licensed Professional Counseling Program at Mid America Christian University. After earning the educational requirements, I completed the Texas state required 3,000 hour supervised internship in various non-profit and private practice settings, where I developed and grew in clinical skills and approaches such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Polyvagal Therapy. Currently in private practice, I seek to provide care by offering a variety of services including trauma informed approaches, cognitive behavioral techniques, and faith based Christian care. Having a clinical understanding of the mental and emotional challenges and developmental processes of today's generations, I have been able to specialize in adolescent and emerging / young adult mental health and well being. In order to provide the highest quality of care, staying up to do date on empirically tested, clinically proven techniques through quality trainings and certifications is imperative for my commitment to the mental health of my clients. My most recent training includes completion in basic training in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) through the EMDRIA network, a professional association for EMDR practitioners and researchers to seek the highest standards for the clinical use of EMDR. To enhance that training, I have become certified in the Flash Technique, a recently developed and minimally intrusive evidenced-based therapeutic intervention and adjunct to EMDR preparation phase for reducing the disturbance associated with traumatic or other distressing memories. I hold fast to a biblical, Christian worldview in my personal life and provide faith based counseling upon request. “There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn't true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.” ― Soren Kierkegaard *Amy Glover, MS, LPC is a member in good standing with the American Association of Christian Counselors* **Scheduling** Current clients may log into the client portal for schedule management.
