Hello, I am Amy, and I have worked in the mental health field for over a decade. During this time I have worked in various avenues, including ongoing trauma therapy, crisis response and supervising other clinicians. The wisdom I perceive I have gained is through personal life experiences as well as learning from my clients. I have always embraced diversity and am LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent affirming. I believe we are at our best when we’re in alignment with our mind, body and souls. The experiences we have in life can feel harsh and cruel. I carry deep compassion and curiosity for myself and others, which is an integral part of how I relate to others and the work I do. I am trained in trauma-informed modalities such as Internal Family Systems, EMDR, Brainspotting as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and am polyvagal informed. I love incorporating expressive arts, somatically based interventions and spirituality into my work. I am a lifelong learner and fully believe there is always more to learn and understand. There is no “one-stop shop” for healing. Therefore, it is important for me to meet you, the client, where you are at to determine what you align with to heal and grow. I believe anyone willing to seek therapy has employed the courage to look inside and outside of themselves, to learn and grow, which is already a step in the right direction. My job is to help foster this growth and help nurture your relationship to yourself along the way. During my spare time, I love to be outdoors, traversing the land and connecting with nature, doing creative projects, and continuing my spiritual journey with meditation and connection with others. I also love taking my dog for walks and teaching him new tricks. I would be honored to work with you if you feel we would be a good fit!
