My areas of specialty include: anxiety, depression; adolescent issues, life transition and working with clients on issues related to self-esteem, life purpose and healthy relationships. I work with clients ages adolescence through adulthood, and their families. I enjoy working with women across the life span, getting them "un-stuck" and finding greater purpose through therapy or coaching. I take a holistic approach and individualize the techniques we use to fit your needs, such as drawing from CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, Art Therapy, Play Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, and addressing the mind-body connection. I also use yoga and walking in nature when appropriate. I am equipped for TeleHealth practice and meet with my clients virtually using easily accessible platforms. This is a great option for clients who cannot attend regular in-office appointments due to busy school/work schedules, commuting time, weather conditions and parenting demands. My clients also enjoy meeting outside for a "walk and talk" session. I have found that bringing a little bit of movement enriches the counseling session. Some clients are intrigued by the idea and are naturally drawn to the therapeutic benefits of being outside.
