Introduction

My passion is working with couples who are committed to improving their relationship and individuals looking to heal from the psychological and emotional effects of personal & intergenerational traumas, minority related stress, including LGBTQIA and Non-Monogamous identities and relationship stressors. Their ideal goals would be to improve communication skills, manage emotional triggers and learn how to regulate their mood with more insight and coping skills to move towards feelings of empowerment, affirmation, self-love and confidence to ultimately have healthier lives and relationships. I use an integration of treatment models that are trauma informed, behaviorally activating and relational such as, EMDR, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, CBT, Relational Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Gottman Therapy and Family Systems Therapy in addition to the use of Mindfulness techniques for mood regulation and stabilization. I aim to empower clients to achieve mental wellness by providing therapy through a multi-cultural, strength based and feminist perspective. My style is warm and collaborative in helping clients build a safe therapeutic experience that is inclusive, identity affirming and validating of their experiences and their need for healing and emotional wellness.
