Introduction

Enlightened Ways Therapy offers individual mental health therapy to adolescents and adults. We provide evidence-based treatment to help you alongside your journey to recovery. Amberly Mixon, LCSW, started Enlightened Ways Therapy in 2022. Amberly received her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in Social Work and Psychology. Amberly continued her education and received her M.S.W from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Previously, Amberly worked for Rogers Behavioral Health for 5 years as the therapist for the residential adolescent eating disorder program. She also worked for an outpatient practice for 3 years providing school-based mental health therapy. Amberly has experience working with children, adolescents and their families. She specializes in trauma, eating disorders, OCD, anxiety, and depression. She has been trained in CBT, including exposure and response therapy (ERP), behavioral activation, and prolonged exposure (PE). She also is trained in DBT and IFS. Amberly completed the youth-oriented substance abuse and trauma counseling program at UW-Milwaukee and is SBIRT certified.
