Meet the Owner Amber Norville, LCSW/LICSW/LCSW-C (Licensed to practice in NC, VA, MD & DC) Amber is the owner of Little Island Counseling and Wellness. It is her belief that the client is so much more than a diagnosis, and that the focus should be on treating the whole person, not just reducing their symptoms. Amber is passionate about her work, and is always seeking out knowledge to help improve her clients' outcomes. She primarily uses a psychodynamic and mindfulness based approach, while also bringing other strategies into sessions as needed. She sees her clients as the ultimate expert on their own lives. With a firm but gentle approach, she expects the clients she works with to put in the elbow grease it takes to improve themselves. Michelle also serves individuals who are military-connected, helping to ease the inherent stress of military life.
