I am a student at Regent University in the Master of Arts Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program, with an anticipated completion date of August 2023. I am trained in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment modalities for mental and emotional disorders. I view therapy treatment as a collaborative process between therapist and client (including guardian when appropriate) and strive to create a safe space to explore aspects of life that are troublesome, painful and difficult with the hope that growth and self understanding are fostered. I take a holistic cognitive-behavioral approach to counseling with an eclectic mix of therapeutic interventions such as Mindfulness, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MBCT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Skills Training, and Family Systems Theory. I also believe that play and art can be essential to the counseling process. Population Served: Children and Adolescents (6-18) and their families, Young Adults 18-35. Specialty Areas: Depression, Anxiety, Adjustment difficulties, Coping Skills, Spiritual Issues and Relationships.
