Introduction

*NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS* Amanda Seibert is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern. Amanda graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Florida with a major in Psychology. She completed her Master’s Degree at the University of Central Florida in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Amanda has experience working with adolescents, adults, and couples in both community and private practice settings. She has experience working with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders (i.e., borderline personality disorder), PTSD/trauma, ADHD, relationship conflict, life transitions, adjustment difficulties, codependency, and other areas of clinical issue. Amanda works from a humanistic and evidence-based approach, which includes aspects of Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. She enjoys working with a wide age range of clients from these approaches, but she also likes to meet her clients where they are at and will tailor her interventions and techniques to an individual’s specific needs and goals. Amanda readily believes in the power and change factor of the therapeutic relationship and alliance, so she places an abundant amount of emphasis on a compassionate, mutual, understanding relationship between the client and herself. When working with a client, her ultimate goal is to improve overall functioning and quality of life through a consistent and team-like effort.
