Introduction

I believe that the most important relationship we have here on earth, is the relationship with yourself. Often, we find that our minds are critical and negative when looking inward. We may say things like "I am not enough" or "I am worthless" to our own self, but would never say anything that cruel to someone else. Depression and anxiety also shape our thoughts and lead us towards negative self-beliefs. When we have tumultuous relationships within ourselves, it can be difficult to have healthy satisfying relationships with others. It can affect each and every aspect of life including work, family, friends, intimate relationships and parenting styles. I have had the privilege of partnering with my clients to begin on a path focused on learning how to love yourself with all of your strengths, unique abilities and imperfections. Self-love is a powerful gift that everyone deserves but few people actually receive. Some are not lucky enough to be born with it. They must take time to learn new skills to allow their "genuine self" to emerge. I hold a warm and nurturing space where personal growth and change can and does happen! That is why the name of my practice is New Beginnings Counseling. If you are ready to begin making some changes in your life, please consider allowing me to accompany you on this journey.
