Amanda Sanders is a Licensed Professional Counselor providing therapy to teens, young adults, adults, and families. Amanda especially enjoys working with individuals in the season of pregnancy and postpartum. Through her coursework in Psychology at Furman University, she discovered her passion for helping others become the best version of themselves. Following college, Amanda earned a Master of Arts in Counseling degree from Wake Forest University. During her time there, she completed internships at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and at Salem College, providing individual and family therapy to diverse populations. Amanda began her post-graduate work in Greenville, SC working with families addressing a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma before relocating to Atlanta in 2020. Amanda is passionate about helping her clients develop concrete and sustainable tools to cope with life’s stressors, seeking to uncover unhelpful patterns that have kept them stuck. To achieve this, Amanda uses a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to her client’s specific needs. She is passionate about walking with her clients through a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions, especially the transition to pregnancy and parenthood. Amanda strives to see each client through a holistic lens, identifying solutions amongst varying aspects of wellness. Ultimately, she considers counseling successful when her clients are empowered to realize their personal strengths and find a sense of well-being in their lives.
