Hello! I am Amanda Molé (she/her) and I am a licensed clinical social worker. Am I the right person for your mental health journey? Here are some highlights from my own professional and personal journey to help you decide: My first degree was in education and I taught in public schools for six years. I later decided to change my career course and earned my Master of Social Work degree, and completed clinical internship at a domestic violence crisis center to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked with clients ages 10 to into their 70s since 2015. Outside of work, I am involved in volunteer based community organizations such as Q Christian Fellowship, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Reformation Project, Black Coalition of Hernando County, and Sex Worker Solidarity Network. My diverse experiences as a teacher, counselor, and community volunteer give me a wide variety of perspectives from which to draw to help me build strong relationships with my clients. I have experience with depression, anxiety, trauma-related conditions, LGBTQ issues, domestic violence, sexual assault, abuse, and stress management. My style of counseling is very "you-centered." I believe that for therapy to be successful, it needs to be a partnership between the therapist and the client. I believe therapy needs to progress at the client's pace in whatever way feels most comfortable for you. This could be through just a back and forth conversation, but we could also use worksheets, journaling, or creative arts (such as poetry, painting, and so on). I draw from a variety of therapeutic models, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Narrative Therapy, and Strengths-Based Therapy, all with a trauma-informed lens. I look forward to helping YOU be your best self!
