With almost 15 years of clinical experience, I bring insight, compassion and patience to the therapy space. My approach is direct and enthusiastic while trying to incorporate a little bit of humor. I enjoy working with individuals and couples in many different phases of life. But most often, I do best with those who are truly interested in making some changes. I'm very invested in my clients and hope to offer them honest, valuable feedback. I tend to work best with those who are: -First timers to therapy -Parents overwhelmed with balancing life -Experiencing life transitions or traumatic experiences -Struggling with general anxiety or depression -Looking to increase self care and compassion -First Responders and their Spouses My undergraduate degree is from Western Kentucky University and I received my Masters from the University of Louisville. My foundational experiences were in foster care, forensics, domestic violence, pediatric trauma, adult trauma and hospice. I hold clinical certifications in Trauma and Mindfulness for anxiety, depression and intimacy. I utilize a strengths based approach drawing upon CBT, DBT, ACT and somatic interventions. Each client may need something different in order to reach their potential. As a working mom of a blended and bi-racial family of 6, I recognize various struggles which families face. Passionately, I also support first responders and their families. I understand the unique approach needed to serve this group as my husband and extended family are first responders and military veterans. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, yoga, travel, cooking and reading. I also teach little ones gymnastics at a local gym, this keeps me young at heart! Kids are easier to talk with and judge less :) I see no more than 15 clients a week. I show up with great energy and will remember what we talk about! I promise to always be invested in my own growth and I do not believe in asking my clients to go places where I have not been myself. With that, I know therapy is worth it! Services are offered on a HIPPA compliant telehealth platform.
