Amanda Bode is the Director of Clinical Services and a Master’s Licensed Psychologist who’s passionate about utilizing an integrative and person-centered approach to help her clients grow individually and in their relationships. Amanda’s clients express they find her to be authentic, insightful, and passionate about her work. She believes in a holistic approach to therapy and uses a strength-based approach, along with techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Interpersonal Therapy, and mindfulness-based practices to help her clients achieve growth. Amanda is an LGBTQ+ affirming psychologist with experience providing individual, couples and group therapy, psychological assessments, and substance abuse evaluations and treatment. While she works with clients of all ages, she has extensive experience working with teens, college students, and young adults. She specializes in working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, intra-personal and inter-personal concerns, Autism Spectrum Disorder Level 1 (formerly known as Asperger’s Disorder), college transitions, and trauma. Amanda strives to make clients feel safe and supported in a nonjudgmental environment as they work to face the challenges in their lives. Amanda received her Master’s of Science in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Michigan University, and her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Calvin University. Additionally, she earned a post-graduate certificate from the University of Michigan.
