I believe that building an authentic and positive therapeutic relationship is crucial for the healing process and reaching therapeutic goals. This is my life’s work. My desire to improve mental health, strengthen relationships, and build communities of people willing to be vulnerable, honest, and courageous with the support of psychotherapy stems from my deep reverence for the human experience. I have devoted much of my professional education, time, and energy to becoming a licensed clinical psychologist. I have been honored to provide mental health services for over 15 years in Oahu, California and Oregon. As a generalist psychologist, I have had the privilege of working with adults, teenagers, and families. Currently, I offer individual, family, and couples counseling. I am dedicated to helping adults navigate various psychological concerns, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, aging, women's issues, men's issues, and grief. My approach is deeply rooted in humanistic-existential principles, emphasizing authenticity, self-awareness, and personal responsibility in the therapeutic relationship. I believe that each person has the capacity for self-understanding and change, and my role is to support this process through empathetic and genuine engagement. I use interventions that are empirically supported and culturally sensitive, tailored to each individual's unique needs. I strive for direct, honest, and accepting communication, always valuing client feedback as a crucial part of the therapeutic journey. In my free time, I find joy in cooking and dining with my family, visiting the ocean, listening to music, dancing, gardening, and exploring new experiences.
