Hello, my name is Alyssa Casimiro. I am Chamoru and Filipina and my pronouns are she/her/hers. My parents were born and raised on the island of Guam and moved to the states in the 80’s. I feel close to my roots as a Chamoru person, feeling centered with the values of community and family. I grew up in Southern California and moved to the Bay Area over 10 years ago. I currently live on occupied Ohlone Land and pay Shuumi Tax. I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker, working towards my Clinical License I attended San Francisco State University for both my Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Master’s Degree in Social Work and have worked with youth and families for 11 years. I have experience supporting children and families with navigating the Child Welfare and Education system. I also have experience supporting transitional age youth navigating new responsibilities of adulthood. I am a strengths-based clinician, using a client centered and trauma informed approach. My style is warm, empathetic with a culturally sensitive lens. I empower generation z & millenial womxn of color who experience anxiety and imposter syndrome to reclaim their self confidence, find clarity, and live their most authentic lives. My goal is to create a safe and trusting space for you to process your own experiences, free of judgment. I believe in the therapeutic partnership and hope to walk alongside you in your healing process.
