Introduction

"My goal is to partner with people to move towards a more fulfilled life amidst trauma and stress. Taking the first step to reach out and ask for help can be challenging. Finding the right person you can trust is crucial to improved mental wellness. I partner with clients to create a personalized treatment plan tailored to their unique goals and needs. I provide the non-judgmental, compassionate space and the clinical tools to help process life's challenges. I will help you uncover unhelpful thoughts and behavior patterns to expose your true potential. I use a strengths-based approach grounded in research to assist people to greater satisfaction. I work with adults and adolescents from all walks of life. I specialize in treating grief/loss, pediatric and adult trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, relational issues, and individuals who have been affected by the child welfare system." Alyssa received her Bachelor's in Human Services and Rehabilitation and Psychology from Western Washington University. She completed a Master's degree in Social Work from Eastern Washington University. Alyssa is trained in several evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) to help clients meet their unique goals. She is also trained in The Positive Parenting Program (Triple P), an evidence-based parenting intervention to help parents and caregivers effectively manage their children's behavior and build strong, healthy relationships. Alyssa is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) Level 2. Her clinical framework draws from psychodynamic approaches, and she regularly incorporates somatic and mindfulness-based techniques into her work with clients. Alyssa advocates breaking the stigma of mental health and engages in ongoing education/consultation to ensure her skills remain relevant and effective.
