Alysia has had a life long passion for helping people from the time she enlisted into the Army as a combat medic to helping individuals who are experiencing a mental health crisis. She has a passion for helping military Veterans and families with trauma with Equine Supported Activities. Her experience with horses and helping people to become more grounded has transferred over to a mindfulness approach in counseling. Alysia is currently working on her PhD in Developmental Psychology, with an emphasis on the effects of trauma in neurodevelopment.
