Alyana is a yoga therapist and coach committed to helping individuals of all ages become active participants in their own healing journey. Yoga therapy applies yoga tools—exercise, meditation techniques, breathwork, and so on—to address an individual's physical, mental, and emotional needs. Combining Eastern and Western practices, Prana Clinic offers a trauma-sensitive, holistic approach to mental and physical well-being. While she sees a wide variety of patients, Alyana primarily works with trauma, eating disorder, and mood disorders along with patients that present with neurological conditions such as chronic pain, fibromyalgia, and Parkinson's. Alyana finds yoga therapy to be such an effective approach because many of these populations experience symptoms that span both the mental and physical. Trauma patients might be dealing with chronic pain or fatigue, for example, while a Parkinson's patient might present with depression or anxiety along with their physical symptoms. Alyana has over a 1,000 hours training in yoga, yoga therapy, and meditation and is a certified yoga therapist through the International Association of Yoga Therapists. She holds an advanced certification in Yoga for Mental Health, Trauma, Addiction, and Eating Disorders as well as Meditation Immersion for Yoga and Wellness. Aly also holds certifications in Dr. Fishman's Method for Osteoporosis and specialized training in orthopedic issues including should injuries, pelvic floor dysfunction, and low back pain. She also holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and spent years coaching professionals on emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and stress management in the workplace. If you're interested in exploring a more holistic approach to health, one that addresses your whole body and self, reach out for a consultation today. Alyana can work with your existing care team and is available for telehealth appointments.
