Introduction

Hi, I'm Allyson! I'm an AMFT (136508)/APCC (12918) in California. If you're struggling with anxiety around a relationship, a job, or life in general. Or you're feeling overworked, under appreciated, and are just plain burnt out. Mayeb others have noticed how short your responses have become. Your joyful, can-do attitude is dwindling. You feel like you're doing backflips for everyone in your life...and it's still not enough. That voice in your head says you're not smart enough, good enough, strong enough. You're ready to make a change, but need some help getting there. Asking for help and putting in the work is HARD! We are each shaped by those around us and our previous experiences. Over the years, you've had to learn ways to get your needs met. Some helpful, some not. Therapy with me is grounded in finding the life that fits with your authentic self. No judgment, no shame, just helping you find what matters most to you and tackling the negative thought patterns and ways of relating that you have learned over the years that are no longer serving you. Let's shake off those unhelpful expectations of yourself/others and find what fits most for you so you can live a fulfilling, joy-filled life! I'm also in the process of becoming fully EMDR certified and can use this to help you separate the strong negative emotions related to memories so you won't feel controlled by them.
