Allison Petersen

Hello, my name is Allison Petersen. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), licensed in the State of South Carolina; National Certified Counselor (NCC) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). I obtained a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL and a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology with concentrations in clinical and organizational psychology from Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, FL. I have worked in the field of counseling since 2018 and enjoy working with individuals (Teens 13-17 years of age, Adults 18+, Elders 65+), couples, Military/Veterans and their spouses, Police/Firefighter/First Responds and their spouses. I am certain that we can work together to help you obtain the necessary tools and coping mechanisms that will allow you to face and overcome the challenges that are present in your life. I have the knowledge, experience and training to help you achieve your goals, overcome your struggles, and live a happy, more fulfilling, and meaningful life that you want and deserve. I understand that no two individuals are the same, and do not communicate the same, therefore, I will tailor your counseling sessions and work together with you to develop goals to address the challenges you are encountering. I will also work with you to identify and understand the root cause of your challenges and address the issues that led to the difficulties you are facing and that are present, helping you to get closer to the life you have always wanted and deserve.
