What gets me out of bed in the morning is the ability to create a safe stigma & judgment-free space for you to explore the multifaceted dimensions of who you are, what you feel, and how your thoughts impact your well-being. My stance as a queer, non-binary feminist support my multiculturally sensitive and strengths-based approach. I welcome clients of all identities and intersections, including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and persons with disabilities. I use evidence-based treatment methods with a trauma-informed lens, including but not limited to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and attachment theory. I'm obtaining my master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University. In addition, I'm receiving additional training to earn certifications in trauma-informed counseling and expressive arts therapy. My background in theater and improvisation has given me the skills to infuse our sessions with creativity and openness, drawing upon interventions such as role-playing and creative writing to aid you in processing deeply rooted feelings and experiences. In my free time, I like to paint, attend drag shows, visit live music venues, and romp n' roll at Montrose Dog Beach with my little dude, Frankie. A few of my loves include Van Gogh, flower-scented candles, Michaels stores, and poetry: "There is freedom waiting for you, on the breezes of the sky, and you ask, 'What if I fall?' Oh but my darling, What if you fly?" -Erin Hanson
