Throughout my career, I have recognized a gap in healthcare. I noticed that systems were not working together to reach a common goal. People were getting missed, forgotten, or receiving lackluster care. This observation drove my passion to create a wellness center that is passionate about collaborative care to assist with the best individualized treatment for every client. I am dedicated to de-stigmatizing mental health concerns while promoting the importance of mind & body alliance. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor. What does all of that mean? It means I attended specialized training to receive a license to practice counseling in Ohio & Kentucky. I first received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The Ohio State University. While at OSU and post graduation, I volunteered with local non-profits where I mentored youth. These opportunities sparked my drive to continue my journey in the world of mental health and addiction. I decided that becoming a counselor was the right path for me, which led me to my graduate school experience. I received my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wright State University. I spent a few years working with children and families to identify dysfunctional patterns, process trauma, and understand the systemic impact of addiction. I've worked with a diverse client base with a variety of issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, sexual and gender identity, personality disorders, grief and life transition. As a Counselor I ensure that my clients feel heard and empowered. I follow the approach that you are the expert in your life. You are the driver but I can assist with the navigation, exploring the map to guide you through your options, getting you where you want to be as a person. We will work collaboratively to construct the plan that best suits you and your wellness journey. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, exploring new restaurants, or floating on the river in my kayak with my husband and friends. I am always down for an adventure and hope to encourage others to do the same.
