Introduction

My name is Alissa Madsen and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have a Master of Social Work from Texas State University. Having lived in Central Texas for 10 years, I’m proud to call it my home. Social work is my second career, but the skills of patience and determination I learned prior to making this transition have been invaluable. I approach my therapeutic relationships from a trauma-informed and person-centered lens, meaning that you are the expert on your life. My approach is one of curiosity, empathy and unconditional positive regard.
