Introduction

A practicing psychotherapist for fifteen years, I have worked as a clinician, supervisor, and program manager in a multitude of clinical settings, including hospitals, community mental health clinics, schools, and private offices. As a Clinical Social Worker, understanding my clients' experiences within a particular social context ensures comprehensive assessment and tailored intervention in the treatment of both chronic and episodic anxiety, depression, or other mood disorders. My approach is psychodynamic by training, relational in nature, and incorporates tools from behavioral and systems theories as indicated. Each client is the authority on his/her own life. While I assist in the client's articulation of objectives, I regard the client as the final 'arbiter' of what constitutes his/her desired picture of social, emotional, and occupational functioning.
