Hi there! I’m Ali, and I’m excited to partner with you on your journey toward personal growth and well-being. My journey into counseling began after I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2010 (Whoop!) and started teaching. It became clear to me that many children and adolescents needed social and emotional support, and I felt a strong desire to be a trusted ally for them. After over a decade in public education, I realized the importance of extending that support to families as well. I earned my master’s degree from Lamar University in 2023 and have spent the last two years as a school counselor. Currently, I’m an LPC-A under the supervision of April West, LPC-S. I draw from person-centered counseling, solution-focused brief counseling, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and I’m also pursuing certification in play therapy, art therapy, and EMDR. My aim is to create a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your feelings and experiences. Life can present challenges that feel overwhelming, but I believe these moments can also be opportunities for growth and healing. Whether you’re facing a tough transition, dealing with anxiety, or looking to strengthen your relationships, I’m here to help you find your way forward. I currently offer virtual counseling options, making it easy for you to access support wherever you are. I’m here to support you every step of the way as we work toward your goals.
