I have a holistic approach and believe in the power of self-determination, utilizing strengths and lifestyle changes to motivate and help clients increase resiliency and improve satisfaction in life. I enjoy working with clients who are invested in themselves to put forth the energy and work therapy requires to be successful and heal. I enjoy working with adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, mood fluctuations, stress, and life transitions/adjustments. Therapy is a way to help with a broad variety of emotional and mental challenges by talking about our struggles, developing skills to cope and heal, and lifestyle changes that improve well-being. It can help eliminate or control troubling symptoms so we can feel better, live how we want to live, reach our goals, and increase life satisfaction. I also offer Nutritional Education and Support services as I have a special interest in the connection between our nutritional and dietary habits and the impacts on mental health and overall wellbeing. As a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional (CIMHP) and Certified Nutrition coach (CNC), I provide my clients psychoeducation in the many connections between nutritional/dietary habits and their mental health/overall wellbeing (complimentary or alternatively to providing psychotherapy services) while supporting them in any adjustments my clients want to explore. I focus on helping clients to make informed decisions about their food patterns and choices to improve mental health; my clients decide all adjustments while I offer education and support during the process as mental/emotional changes occur.
