She then continued her education at Texas A&M University Commerce and obtained her Masters degree in social work. Over the past four years working, Alisha has worked with various populations ranging from former foster youth, adults struggling with substance use, youth experiencing homelessness/ crisis, and mental health treatment in adolescents and adults. Alisha’s experience working with these vulnerable populations has taught her that everyone deserves to be heard, listened to, and advocated for. In Alisha’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to the gym, traveling, and dedicating her time teaching in the children’s ministry at her church. When Alisha is not dedicating her time to being a helping professional, she is most likely playing games with her children or watching Grey’s Anatomy.
