Introduction

Are you feeling emotionally drained, "empty", discouraged, or stuck? Are you facing a lot of stress, anxiety and do not know what to do? Have you gone through trauma or significant events, that you didn’t have enough time to process or get through? Remember, you are not alone! Dealing with intense symptoms can leave you isolated, confused and overwhelmed, but you don’t have to face this on your own! We can work together in different ways: - Empowerment: We’ll build resilience, coping skills, and reclaim agency. - Compassionate Listening: Your story matters! Your feelings are valid in our safe space. - Unraveling Patterns: We’ll gently untangle them, understanding how they impact your daily life. Recognizing these patterns is the first step toward transformation. - Healing Strategies: We’ll tailor strategies to your unique needs. From grounding techniques to self-care activities, we’ll explore what resonates with you. ********************************************* WHAT IS DIFFERENT ABOUT PLENITUDE WELLNESS AND COUNSELING? - An integrative, trauma-informed and individualized approach that combines talk therapy and somatic work that will help you overcome that sensation of “feeling stuck” or “empty”, finding more plenitude in your life. WHAT CLIENTS DO YOU FOCUS ON? - Anyone ages 16 and up. WHAT ARE SOME OF THE CHALLENGES USUALLY BROUGHT UP BY CLIENTS? - It varies. Some of the challenges relate to life transition, limiting beliefs, people-pleasing, interpersonal/relationship issues, work-life balance, past and/or current trauma, abuse, and many others. Some clients present with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and some have not felt any feelings for a long time and want to overcome that. WHAT IS SOMATIC WORK OR SOMATIC EXPERIENCING? - Somatic experiencing is an approach to help people who have experienced trauma, stress and many other physical and mental health conditions. Instead of just talking about it, this therapy pays attention to how the body reacts to significant events. It helps individuals notice their physical sensations and feelings in a different way. By doing this, they can build a stronger connection with their inner strengths. It’s like a natural and scientific way to heal from difficult experiences and become emotionally stronger. WHAT IS TRAUMA? WHAT IF I BELIEVE I NEVER EXPERIENCED ANY? IS THIS THERAPY FOR ME? - Lately, you might have noticed the word “trauma” more often. Research has revealed that trauma isn’t just about what happened to us; it’s also about how we reacted to those events. Any experience can trigger a “trauma response,” and sometimes our bodies struggle to let go of that experience. This can lead to various symptoms. By paying attention to our sensations and understanding how our bodies react to different situations, we can help it release what’s stuck. HOW DO I KNOW IF PLENITUDE WELLNESS AND COUNSELING IS RIGHT FOR ME? - A free 15-minute consultation is offered for you to get to know me, clarify any questions you may have and feel comfortable deciding what your next step will be. Just contact me by messaging or requesting an appointment in this website. WHAT TO EXPECT FROM OUR SESSIONS? - Together, we will start off by creating a plan including your areas of need, and goals for therapy. Based on that, we will get to know your preferences and will identify the right tools and practices to be used in our sessions moving forward. WHERE CAN I HAVE MY SESSIONS? - There are currently in-person and telehealth options available. Telehealth sessions are provided to clients anywhere in Texas. In-person sessions are offered in Frisco, TX. DO YOU PROVIDE SERVICES IN ANY LANGUAGE BESIDES ENGLISH? - Yes! Sessions are offered in English and Portuguese.
