Introduction

Alicen started her journey in the mental health industry in residential treatment focusing on substance abuse. After seeing the need for added family supports she completed her undergraduate degree in family studies and then her masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Having 10 years in the mental health field Alicen has worked with couples, individuals - both adults and teens - as well as families step into their values and start living their lives in alignment with their true selves. Alicen treats individuals who suffer from depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, substance abuse, grief/loss and much more. She is trained in ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy), and ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy). She uses other modalities like CBT, DBT, Solution Focused Therapy and Positive Psychology to provide true wrap around care for all her clients needs. In her spare time Alicen enjoys learning how to do new things, spending time with her husband and 4 children and their 2 dogs, college football, baking, listening to books and anything music related.
