I am grateful to be doing what I am passionate about each day and honored to be a part of each individual’s journey towards growth and healing. As a Trauma and Dialect Behavior Therapist, I believe everyone deserves to build a life worth living, one that frees people from suffering and restores their hope. In our journey together we will focus on finding a balance between acceptance of where you are right now in this moment- this means we believe that you are doing the best you can. And at the same time, we will work together to motivate change -- you will gain increased awareness, learn new skills and adaptive behaviors that will support reaching your goals, and what you desire for your life. In doing this work it is so important to find the therapist that is a match for you. I believe that this means we will both come together as equals working towards the same goals. This is a journey where you will learn new and effective ways of coping, increase overall awareness, increased understanding of emotions, reduce self-destructive behaviors, and explore barriers that get in the way of your goals and healthy relationships. I am a DBT trained clinician, and I provide all modes of DBT—individual sessions, skills group, telephone coaching, and participation on a consultation team. Throughout the last 15 years I have worked across the CHI Behavioral service line in all levels of care--- inpatient behavioral units both as a behavioral technician and program therapist, the adolescent residential program, the partial day programs for both teens and adults, and lastly as an outpatient mental health therapist. The populations I serve are children, teens, and adults. I provide individual sessions, couples counseling, group work, and family therapy. I hope to continue this work for many years while sharing in others’ healing journeys.
