Alexes is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background in community mental health and substance abuse treatment with an emphasis in harm reduction. She operates mainly from a solution-focused perspective, focusing on finding achievable and effective solutions to reach your goals together. Alexes also utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, and enjoys bringing mindfulness and creativity into session. Alexes believes that you are the most reliable narrator of your own story, and enjoys working to promote resilience and empowerment with all of her clients in a manner tailored to their individual needs. Alexes has experience working with adolescents and justice involved youth, LGBTQIA+ individuals, single mothers with young children, and adults. She has experience working with addiction (drug and alcohol), anxiety, depression, trauma, and low self esteem. Alexes strives to create a comfortable environment where not only are you heard, you are uplifted. She believes that you should feel free to be yourself in the therapy room, and that the best interventions are collaborative between the therapist and client.
