I believe in the capacity for all human beings to live a life of authenticity and meaning with moments of joy, contentment and freedom. We have tremendous capacity to face our fears and find our way out of the dark when it doesn't seem possible. Therapy is extremely effective when the client and therapist can dialogue with candor and truth. I meet my clients where they are, beyond labels and diagnoses and work hard to make them feel seen, heard and supported. I work with adults and adolescents who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, suicidal thoughts, grief, relationships, anger, loneliness, sadness, self-image and identity. I work with adults who have experienced: childhood trauma, divorce, illness, fear of death, relationship problems, loss of meaning, work issues, and so on. Over the years, I have completed suicide, crisis, and anxiety trainings and I am Level 1 Certified in Emotion Focused Individual Therapy. I have an affinity for college students previously working at Canada College and Palo Alto University. I come to this career (that I absolutely love!) after many years in the technology world, and bring much life experience into my therapy practice. I am a dedicated Mom to three children (ages 10, 17 and 18) and enjoy family get-togethers, hiking, golf, tennis and my side project building an app for college students.
