I am passionate about the benefits of therapy and taking time to create a deeper connection with yourself. I believe humans are beautifully flawed and complicated, and that by learning to appreciate our imperfections, we can gain a sense of peace and compassion for ourselves and others. New research in the field of neuroscience is providing evidence to support what many clinicians empirically knew: people are forever growing and changing. Interpersonal connection is the access-point to creating meaningful change in our lives from a place of kindness, compassion and free from judgement. I have advanced training in the treatment of trauma, substance-use disorders, anxiety, and depression. I use a variety of different evidenced-based interventions including: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive, Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and motivational interviewing (MI). I grew up on Nantucket Island and lived there with my family until fall of 2020, when we relocated to Northern Virginia. I find peace in nature, whether hiking in the mountains or enjoying the salty sea air. I look forward to connecting with you.
