With over a decade of experience, Alex began her career as a Special Education Teacher working with teenagers with significant cognitive impairments. After earning her Masters in Social Work from University of Illinois at Chicago, she transitioned to school social work and non-profit management. She has worked with both children and adults and specializes in trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and perinatal/prenatal/postpartum mental health. She uses a holistic, culturally relevant approach and values building a strong therapeutic relationship in order to explore the root causes of presenting concerns and to work toward incremental growth/behavioral change.
