Hey there, I’m Alex! Starting therapy is a big step, and it can lead to growth, healing, and change. The goal is to make this journey meaningful and empowering for you every step of the way. The magic of therapy happens through trust and connection, which is why I offer a free 15-minute virtual consultation where we can get to know each other. This gives us a chance to see if we’re a good fit, and if not, I’ll help you find someone who truly feels right for you. If we work together, our sessions will be collaborative and tailored to meet your unique needs. Every session will be centered around you—your goals at your pace. Together, we’ll create a plan that works best for your growth. We’ll also spend time exploring the different relational parts of your life—family, work, and community—that shape your experiences and well-being. When it comes to my therapeutic approach, it is influenced by Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which can help you explore the emotions that drive your behaviors and interactions, fostering deeper emotional connection and healing. I also utilize Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), a goal-oriented approach that helps you find solutions to current challenges. Lastly, I am a fully trained Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) practitioner. EMDR is a proven, effective therapy technique designed to help you process and heal traumatic memories. By using bilateral stimulation (like eye movements or tapping), EMDR helps the brain process difficult memories and heal. Regarding my specializations, my work has allowed me to support individuals facing a range of challenges, from anxiety and grief to trauma and relationship struggles. I have a heart for working with first responders, military personnel/families, disordered eating, body image issues, and trauma. I hold a Master’s in Marriage & Family Therapy from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA, and am a fully licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Washington (LF61622488). Since our sessions will be 100% virtual, therapy can happen anywhere that’s comfortable for you. Ready to see if we’re a good fit? A free consultation is the perfect place to start—looking forward to connecting!
