Surviving Resilience Psychotherapy was created to highlight that even the most resilient people, get tired of being so strong sometimes. Whether you see yourself as a strong, adaptable & resilient person OR as a weak, tired & vulnerable person, you are NOT alone and this is YOUR story ... Yes, It's time to pick up the figurative pen and write YOUR story in a way that works for YOU and I am here to help along the way. As a psychotherapist for the past two decades, I have witnessed the complexity of human emotions, thoughts and behaviors. I have supported clients in: *Strengthening their sense of self, increasing self confidence & self compassion *Learning to identify, connect and then verbalize & manage their emotions *Gaining insight and increasing understanding of their behavior patterns *Identifying and replacing negative & limiting thought patterns *Achieving better control over their actions, behaviors & interactions with others *Processing traumatic memories/traumas to decrease impact on daily functioning *Learning skills to manage and/or cope with symptoms of depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, life transitions, etc Through these experiences I have learned that despite the varied challenges and struggles that we face, we also have the ability to grow, heal and live & feel better. So it's time to let down that protective barrier, and accept help. As a licensed clinical social worker, I provide individual, couple & family therapy. I received post graduate training in the Ackerman Institute for the Family, where the focus of my training was on different therapeutic styles/methods of family therapy; and also in The Child Trauma Institute, where I completed specialized training and now offer EMDR Therapy, upon request. I am bilingual and can provide services in English and/or Spanish.
