Alex recently completed his Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rhode Island College. He first joined AQAL Therapies as an intern to gain the experience required to complete the program and gain his license as an LMHC-A while supporting the belief that people should be able to gain access to mental health services at an affordable cost, especially during a time with increasing demand for such services. He is interested in working with those dealing with trauma and anxiety, while being open to working with a wide range of other interests such as couples work, chronic health issues, and grief work. Alex takes Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, and Optum insurances. He will also be working closely with Todd Schmenk, LMHC, a clinician with over 20+ years in health services. He will be supervising his work and reviewing each case in order to ensure the quality and effectiveness that AQAL Therapies services have become known for.
