My name is Alex (she/they) and I provide psychotherapy that is affirming, culturally-responsive and collaborative. I'm a dedicated Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with a Master’s degree from the Simmons School of Social Work. My approach to psychotherapy is rooted in empirical knowledge, theoretical foundations, cultural sensitivity and relational dynamics. I pull from a variety of frameworks such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, solution-focused and more. Together, we’ll create a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can build healthier relationships, foster hope and create the life you want to live. It will not be one size fits all, but rather I will tailor our work together to your unique needs and we will work together as a team. Over these last 7 years, I’ve honed my skills in a variety of clinical settings, working with individuals of diverse racial, gender and sexual identities. I specialize in supporting the LGBTQ+ community, individuals exploring their sexuality and gender expression, and those seeking to understand and support their loved ones on similar journeys. I also often work with neurodivergent folks living with things like ADHD and autism who are working on executive and social functioning.
