Introduction

Hi! I’m Aleksandar Kajmakoski (they/them). I am a provisionally licensed psychotherapist at Roamers Therapy under the supervision of Shaysa Villa MSW, LCSW. We are all the sum of our parts, made up of all the pieces we have collected from the world, others, and ourselves throughout our lives. Each experience and interaction contributes uniquely to who we are, shaping our thoughts, behaviors, and emotional responses. And while we continually craft our ever-evolving lives, some of these pieces may not fit together the way they used to or the way we want them to. Knowing where we want to go or how to get there can be incredibly difficult in these moments. My goal as your therapist is to support your journey towards yourself and healing. As a trauma-informed therapist, I center you as the expert on your own life and work with you to grow your understanding of yourself and your world. My therapeutic approach is integrative—I utilize the psychodynamic method, Somatic Experiencing (SE), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Together, we will explore what might be getting in your way and work towards deepening your sense of self and increasing your attunement to your body. I work with both individuals and couples to support struggles with identity development and empowerment, life transitions, anxiety, depression, growing up in the diaspora, queerness, transness, sex, shame, and trauma. As your therapist, I understand how overwhelming these struggles can be, and I am here to help alleviate some of the pressures you face, allowing you to fully embrace and express your genuine self in our therapeutic journey together. I approach our sessions with intention, dedicated to fostering a safe, judgment-free, and empathetic environment where you can openly process whatever is currently unfolding in your life. By working collaboratively, we can create a transformative space that empowers you to heal, grow personally, and make meaningful change. Together, we can explore the depths of your experiences, uncovering insights and strategies that lead to true empowerment and well-being.
