I took my first psychology class in ninth grade and from that moment I knew I wanted to work in the social sciences. I graduated from Weber State University with a double major, one in social work and the other in Child and Family Studies. I worked as a behavior therapist for several years, both in the schools and in the community. I decided to go back to college and obtain my master’s degree from the University of Idaho, the degree afforded me to work as a certified vocational rehabilitation counselor and mental health counselor. After working as a vocational counselor, I decided my heart has always been in mental health. I currently have an associate license and am working toward being fully licensed.
