Specialties: Anxiety, Chronic Illness, Adjustment Disorder, Depression, Brain Injury/Concussions,

Introduction

About Me I entered the field of psychology because I enjoy helping individuals cope with anxiety, depression and/or stress from health conditions. I like supporting clients as they learn to master their anxiety/low mood, chronic pain, and/or health challenges. My style blends cognitive behavioral and mindfulness-based interventions as well as brief cognitive assessment and cognitive rehabilitation. I have worked for more than a decade treating anxiety and depression related to illness. I look forward to working with you to improve life together. Education I earned my bachelor’s degree at The Pennsylvania State University, and my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at George Washington University. I then completed a 2-year fellowship specializing in Rehabilitation Psychology and achieved board certification by the American Board of Professional Psychology. Work History I currently serve as a staff Rehabilitation Psychologist at NYU Langone Rusk's inpatient acute rehabilitation unit. I am also a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at NYU Grossman's School of Medicine. I have worked for more than a decade on the psychological aspects of chronic and/or severe illness, disability and rehabilitation, including inpatient and outpatient intervention and treatment. What does Board Certification mean? The highest attainment a psychologist can earn is board certification and according to the American Board of Professional Psychology less than 5% of all licensed psychologists in the United States are board certified.
