Do you feel stuck, wondering why simply trying to “not think that way” or “not feel this way” hasn’t worked? Instead of avoiding painful thoughts and feelings, we can fundamentally transform your relationship with them, opening the door to true healing and change. I take an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based approach to counseling. ACT is an evidence-based approach that helps us process and change our relationship with discomfort rather than push it away. The beautiful thing is that when we make space for life’s harder moments, we also create room for joy, purpose, and fulfillment. Mindfulness is a core part of ACT and has been shown to reduce symptoms of PTSD, depression, and anxiety. Our work may include guided meditations, mindfulness training, and practical exercises to help you deepen your connection with yourself and the present moment. I also value the therapeutic relationship as one of the most healing parts of the process. My goal is to build a space for you that feels consistent, comfortable, and free of judgment. Whether we are navigating everyday struggles or life's greater challenges, I want our work together to be a place where you feel supported and understood by a genuine human. Together, we'll work to transform the way you relate to your thoughts and emotions, empowering you to live with more peace, joy, and purpose as you craft the life you truly want to live.
