Introduction

Aimee is a marriage and family therapist that specializes in working with those who have experienced trauma. After graduating with her master’s degree in 2017, she has pursued extensive trauma training, including becoming certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). As a former military spouse and mom, she has traveled both within the US and abroad and understands the importance of exploring your unique perspective on the world. While EMDR is an important tool in her toolbelt, she also incorporates mindfulness, somatic resourcing and a holistic perspective, blending mind, body, and emotions to understand what the root issue is and what needs to be addressed. She has worked with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, experiencing abuse, PTSD, bipolar disorder, adjusting to transitions in life and many others. Aimee has worked with multiple clients with Autism as well as ADHD. When she is not counseling, Aimee enjoys reading, crocheting and playing with her two kids and two dogs.
