You've been needing a safe and stable support to finally heal. I meet you right there in the pains of life with compassionate care and culturally-sensitive support to help you and your family heal from those traumas and wounds in a comforting relatable way. I provide insightful feedback to help you discover new solutions to old patterns so you can have functional wholeness emotionally, mentally, and relationally for a more fulfilling life. I specialize in using my authentic representation as a Black, Female, Christian, Clinical Therapist from Compton to provide relatable support & emotional safety for the unique needs of clients of color, urban inner-city traumas, and clients of faith. At request, I integrate a faith-sensitive lens to help Christian clients embrace both faith and therapy on their healing journey. I also have extensive experience working with adults, children, and families impacted by trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety, separation, reunification, incarceration, low self-esteem, poverty, burnout, stress, grief and relationship issues. Healing is a process but you don't have to do it alone. In our work together, you can see yourself empowered towards a more functional whole sense of self, with healthier relationships, self-esteem, and a life built with joy and peace as a priority in your self-care. Let's journey together from pain to purpose, through wellness to wholeness. ◉ After The Winter Blues: About This Group ◉ After The Winter Blues is a Therapy Support Group for Adult clients (18 or older) who have experienced a hard winter of depression and/or grief. The fall and winter months are known for what's called "The Winter Blues," a period of time where seasonal depression and sadness is heightened due to the season being darker and colder than other months. Outside of the seasonal factors, many people have been struggling with long term depression and feel that every season, year round feels like a winter for them. Others may have gone through major losses of loved ones and are battling through the pain of grief. Some may also be processing through non-death related losses including break-up's, burnout, divorce, job-loss, friendship splits, life transitions, health emergencies, body or mobility changes, and a change in their overall social support system, etc. All of these factors can impact your mood, your well being, and your overall functioning to feel like you are emotionally or functionally stuck in the winter blues. If any of these stressors have held you in a winter, and you are ready to experience your spring seasonally and emotionally, then this group is for you. If winter hit you hard, this group is a reminder that you are not alone. Over the next 10-weeks, After The Winter Blues will not only help you process the pain that life's winter moments brought, but it will also help you heal through a shared group journey of renewing your mind, rediscovering your happiness, returning to peace, reconnecting with joy, restoring your hope, rebuilding your functioning, and re-establishing healthier ways to cope through life's difficulties. You'll be sharing this group process with other people who can relate to what you are going through to remind you that life happens to all of us. No matter what the winter seasons looked like before, your After is here.
