Adrienne is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) #124654, with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field, working under the supervision of Jennah Childs, LMFT #121401. She began her career in mental health as a volunteer crisis counselor for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence while earning her Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of California, Davis. From there, Adrienne went on to work in acute psychiatric hospital and community mental health settings before earning her Master’s degree in Child, Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Phoenix, Sacramento. Desiring to broaden her skills further, Adrienne trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), perinatal mood disorders from Postpartum Support International (PSI), and Systematic Affair Recovery Therapy (SART) under Dr. Talal Alsaleem, PsyD, LMFT. She also has experience with substance abuse, veterans, kink, and polyamorous individuals. Adrienne works with individuals, adolescents, couples, and families of all varieties. Adrienne’s approach to treatment is to help clients build on their inner strengths while learning new skills. Everyone’s healing journey is unique, which is why she encourages all clients to work as collaborative partners in the therapeutic process. Clients can expect to be guided through self-examination, creative expression, and, at times, be challenged to step outside of their comfort zone. All clients can enjoy a safe, nonjudgmental environment to express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences as they heal and grow.
