Introduction

I served in the public education field for over 15 years as an educator, special education specialist, school psychologist, counselor/therapist and parent advocate for special education. I have served in my church as premarital and marriage counselor for over 10 years. Services include workshops on intimacy, learning how to fight, bettering communication, learning to be a team and parenting classes. I believe our reactions to situations are modeled by our thoughts and emotions. By allowing ourselves to restructure our thoughts and emotions, we are able to approach life with a different perspective that is beneficial to a creating a better self. We are able to focus on the present and the changes that we need to make for a better future. Each person is unique, therefore my approach is to personalize and tailor a plan with you to address your specific needs and goals. I believe that therapy can be a valuable tool. I understand the importance of creating a safe environment where you can explore how building on your strengths can help you repair past hurt to move forward.
