Hi. I am Adriana Cortes-Kanter, a bilingual & bi-cultural therapist with 10+ years of experience that practices in Uptown Whittier. I specialize in depression, anxiety, grief, stress, acculturation, post-partum depression and phase of life problems (to name a few). I majored in Sociology at the University of California, Berkeley and got my Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Over the years I've worked in research at USC, the county's Roybal Diabetes Management Clinic and currently for Kaiser Permanente’s telephonic depression program. As a result, I developed an eclectic clinical style in which I use analogous examples to teach you how to implement change via Problem Solving Therapy (PST). PST is a cognitive behavioral approach in which I teach you how to change the way you think about your problems. I truly believe that most problems have a solution and it’s my life’s passion to help others figure things out and empower them through self-knowledge.
